I looked on yelp for a place to get my car smog checked and The Smog Shop was the cheapest I saw in SF for the check + certificate. I called them to see if I needed an appointment, and they told me no. I went there and they told me it would be 30-45 minutes. It was more like 20 minutes. I paid my $39.95 (no tax!) and left. The end.

Needed a smog certificate,so I checked for yelp's advice. Went into the garage and was greeted by Chris, He stated that it would be about a 1/2 for the smog test. After waiting the 1/2 hour.my results were not in my favor..... Chris then informed that the State ofCalifornia has a program that will pay for the repairs $ 700-$800 in free repairs. My truck runs alot better. I highly recommend this place ! 6 stars
